Because each believer is called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, Northwest highly values Bible-centered preaching and teaching, Godly servant leadership, lost people and evangelism, prayer, faithful service, warm fellowship, authentic worship, giving and tithing (Stewardship).

  1. Bible-centered preaching/teaching: We value the Bible as the primary source for leading people to understand who God is, for teaching them about a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and for instructing them on how to live the Christian life. (Acts 2:42, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  1. Godly servant leadership: We value Godly servant leadership by committed men and women who have been uniquely gifted by God to equip the body for the work of ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-12, Romans 12:6-8)
  1. Lost People & Passionate evangelism: We value all people because all people need grace and forgiveness for sin, especially the lost; therefore, we value intentional evangelism as commanded by Jesus Christ to share the way of reconciliation between God and man. (Romans 5:8, Matthew 28:19-20)
  1. Prayer: We value prayer as the means by which we seek and affirm God’s direction for our church and for each other. (Philippians 4:6-7, Proverbs 3:5-6)
  1. Faithful service: We value all believers as actively participating ministers, gifted and called by God, serving according to God’s leadership. (1 Corinthians 12:4-12, James 1:22)
  1. Warm fellowship: We value and encourage authentic and loving relationships that build up the community of believers. (Philippians 2:1-3, Romans 12:9-13)
  1. Authentic worship: We value the freedom to gather in worship using our spiritual gifts, prayer, song, praise, and thanksgiving to the honor and glory of God. (Colossians 3:16, Psalm 150)
  1. Giving/tithing: We value biblical stewardship that teaches the proper management of all God has given us to expand his kingdom. This involves our money, time, talents, gifts, and resources. (2 Corinthians 8:7 & 9:6-8, Luke 21:1-4)
